It happens in those elementary years, the later ones normally...before that babies/toddlers are up for a variety of reasons. Once they hit the teen/college years they're out and about and driving. Kids driving is not sleep inducing! And once you're thru that stage your hormones go nuts and interfere with your sleep patterns.
