Hodgepodge Hooray!

1. Howdy Hodgepodgers. It's kind of fun to be back, isn't it?  Last time we met was September, 2018. Tell me something big-important-happy-or sad that's happened in your life since that date. Just one thing. We don't know how long this current isolation situation is going to last and we might need to dole out our news bit by bit.
Big/Happy: I'm one section away from finishing the counseling certification I've been working on for years!
2. Might as well get this out of the way early on...COVID-19. On a scale of 1-5 how serious are you about keeping your distance? Explain. fyi-I didn't create the scale but have seen it several places online. Also fyi-we won't only have virus related questions each week, but for this first one it feels right.

1-Not at all, living normally
2-Cautious but still going out
3-Going out as needed, mostly home or working from home, still seeing friends/family
4-Extremely limited, only going out when unavoidable, minimal contact with people
5-Full lockdown, no one in or out
I would have said 2-3 but as of tomorrow by order of our governor we will be 4.  For this extrovert it isn't exactly my dream come true but I'm adjusting and trying to take it one day at a time.  I love technology.  Zoom is my current favorite as it allows me to see all my peeps faces!
3. Raise your hand if you think you might run out of steam in the cooking department before it's all said and done? What's something delicious you've cooked or eaten in your own kitchen in the past week?
I love to cook and this will force me to be more creative with leftovers than usual.  My hubby smoked a pork butt that was delicious by itself and as pulled pork sandwiches.  Of course, I didn't want any of it to go to waste so I soaked some beans and made delicious smoked ham and bean soup.   Delicious for days and easy to share.  I've also been baking bread.  Bread makes everything better.
4. What's a television show or movie you've seen recently (it could be an oldie) that you really liked?
I watched the whole Anne of Green Gables and Avonlea series with my teenage daughter the other day.  They are long!  She had never seen them.  It was delightful to laugh and cry through them together.
5. Share something funny you've seen or heard this week.
This is my favorite Meme right now...

6. Insert your own random thought here
I would be interested in any good two player games using a deck of cards.  I know how to play crazy eights, garbage, go fish, and rummy.  Please link me to ideas if you have them to share.

It's nice to see you here! Teenagers!! Time flies it seems : ) I have a pork roast in the freezer I may need to pull out for hubs to bbq. It's huge so I was saving it for a crowd, but desperate times right? Stay well!
