"For unto us a child is born, a son is given: and the government
shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful
Counselor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace." Isaiah 9:6
There's more, much more to Christmas
Than candle-light and cheer;
It's the spirit of sweet friendship
That brightens all the year;
It's thoughtfulness and kindness,
It's hope reborn again,
For peace,
for understanding
And for goodwill to men!
My sweet friend Maria had us over to mess up her kitchen make Christmas cookies! It was a wonderful afternoon. Lots of adult conversation for me...with lattes and sugar cookies...and very happy and flour covered children!
They played so nicely together.
And they enjoyed the eating part too...YUMMO!

This looks like a fun day! I can't wait for my daughter to get home in another week and a half. We love baking together. I'm enjoying your verses at the top of your blog this month...I'm trying to remember : ) to add an advent birth with each post this month too.
What a fun day! The cookies look yummy.
We haven't done that in ages. Love the little poem. Looks like a great time!
The kids are looking SO grown up! What a fun and special day you had with friends.
