Five Minute Friday: Grateful...

Want to take five minutes with me and just write without worrying if it’s just right or not. Here’s how we do it:
1. Write for 5 minutes flat with no editing, tweaking or self critiquing.  2. Link back here and invite others to join in {you can grab the button code in my right side bar}  3. Go and tell the person who linked up before you what their words meant to you. Every writer longs to feel heard.
OK, are you ready? Give me your best five minutes for the prompt:
GRATEFUL:

GO.

Do you know that hymn?  Great is Thy Faithfulness....Oh God, my Father.  There is no shadow of turning in Thee.  Thou changest NOT...Thy compassions they fail not...As Thou has been, Thou FOREVER wilt be!

I'm GRATEFUL for a God that doesn't change.  Who's always full of compassion.  Especially, when I see how crabby I'm feeling about other people being crabby to me.  Ironic, I know.  But, I've said it before and I'll say it again.  Women are moody.  I don't do well in large (or small) groups of them.  Ugh.

I can't tell if I'm coming or going with people...BUT thankfully, my God...He is faithful...the same...unchanging.

I'm so Grateful.

It's funny, focusing on God's PERFECT attributes really helps me leave the uglies behind.  I see how it's supposed to be done...and hopefully I change course for the day with a better attitude.

A Grateful one.

STOP.

My dad,one of my very best friends, died a year and a half ago and this was his very favorite hymn. Thanks for bringing it to mind today and thanks for the reminder that focusing on God's faithfulness to us is always a quick path to gratefulness.
