Memory Monday...Jeremiah 17:7-10

"But blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him. He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.
The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?
I the LORD search the heart and examine the mind, to reward a man according to his conduct, according to what his deeds deserve."

I struggled with the NIV translation of this. I'm going back to my NKJV next week. I want to make it "The heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked. Who can know it?" I'm not sure what translation that is really but I have the right idea.

This passage was encouraging to me...that the Lord takes care of those who put their confidence in him. It's also incredibly humbling to remember that he sees my heart and mind and knows what I deserve...

Hi, Bobbi,
You're going to love her book. I'm still in the middle of it since I've been dragging so much. This move has taken all the oomph out of me. I'm officially old!

Blessings to you and your family~

Jer 17:9* “The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it?"

That's the NKJ version
