Sew Saturday

Prepare to brainstorm okay!? I make these thingers to give to people having babies...pretty fabric on one side...flannel on the other...Usually for Loverbrain's co-workers. So, I'd like them to have a verse attached...

I usually top stitch around...but now that I have a COOL machine I did one edge pretty stitching. I tend to use unusual fabrics and not nursery fabrics per se. They are for dabbing drool off little chins...but are way cooler than a plain, white cloth diaper. I think the British word for diaper is nappy...and I thought of calling them Cheeky Nappies... Any other ideas?

And what verse to attach? Psalm 127:3, "Children are a gift from the LORD; they are a reward from him." OR...James 1:17,"Every good and perfect gift is from above."

And...for the sake of laughter ...hahaha...I will share my first attempt at free motion flowers.  My Mother loves me and said they aren't that bad...well, they definitely have that zany, imperfect look don't they?!  hahaha!

I like the James reference better. It's less complicated. I like Cheeky Nappies. Cute. You'll have to keep your eye out for novelty fabrics sales. Love, Mom D.
