Thoughtful Thursday

Why I do what I do.

Right now, I'm gifted with time. And, it's interesting how often I'm encouraged to use my time for things I know aren't prepared for me in advance.  I need to say yes to the best, and no to the good.  I love to sew and sing...hold babies and write blogs. But, not everything is beneficial or in God's current plan for me.
I could start up a shop online...but my time would be consumed. No time for sewing for my personal Sweetnesses and most loved.
I could get a job...a "real" job with a literal paycheck...but my time would be consumed. No time for baby holding in the ministry of my heart.
I could write more blogs, books or devotionals...but there'd be no time for collective memory making or picture taking.

I'm aware that all these things change...perhaps God will call me to do those things at some future point.  But always I want to be aware...listening for the whisper (or roar) of the Holy Spirit...following His leading in what I do...and why I do it!

Ephesians 2:10, "For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them."

1 Cor. 6:12, "“All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are helpful. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be enslaved by anything."

Duet. 32:4, "He is the Rock, his works are perfect, and all his ways are just. A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is he."

I'm so pleased that you see your time as a gift. Many in your situation would not. Interesting the way God uses us in different ways at different times, isn't it? Love you and have a great day. Love, Mom D
